I'm taking a break. I finished Mom's socks, and was just itching to knit something else! The yarn I got at 50% off, a beautiful, natural chocolate-brown wool, didn't help matters. I literally started dreaming about beautiful wrap vests with deep ribbing and maybe cables running down them. Sigh.
So, the socks are on hold at the moment, but I'm thinking they're going to be picked up again fairly soon. I don't like the idea of them being unfinished. My goal was to complete them with lots of time to spare, because I really despise being stressed out at Christmas. Just ruins the whole thing for me. However, I want to make sure that everyone gets something meaningful as a gift because my family and friends are so important to me. Hence the goal. Meaningful gifts and lower stress. Happy knitter!
I still need to take pictures of Stacey's and Mom's socks, and will do that soon, I promise. I think next up will be Harry's socks, a nice quick pair of cozy, squishy sportweight socks should be a great way to get back into the swing of things.
After that vest gets started, of course.
