A New Year

I feel as though I fell of the face of the planet after Thanksgiving, and now I'm finding my way back.  The past almost two months have been, well, interesting around here, but I think things are getting better.  I've been struggling with some issues and it's been rough--on me and on my family and, I think, to some extent, my friends (not to sound egotistical, but it's never fun seeing someone you care about struggle).  I would like to say that I am so amazingly lucky in my life that I have family that supports and cares about me so very much, and friends who are like family, and do the same.  The last two months would have been nearly impossible without all of you (you know who you are).  My thanks will never be enough.

Moving onward and upward, though, right?  I thought, since Christmas is over and everyone's gotten their gifts now, it's probably a good time to take a trip in the way-back machine and see what I've been hinting about since...let's see...May?  Yeah, I actually started the whole process in April, but started Secret Blogging in May.  This will be a good way for me to get back into the swing of things, blogging-wise, without much pressure.  I honestly haven't knit much in the last two months--scary, I know.  I was in a place, mentally, where I just couldn't do it.  I've been reading a lot though.  But that doesn't make for good knitting/crafting blog fodder, so I think the Secret Blogging will be able to fill up that space of not having much to show (although I do have a little bit of a backlog, so...).

In other news, I have become the Knitting Instructor at our local(ish) JoAnn store, and am getting ready to teach my first class in the coming weeks.  We shall see how that goes.  I am looking forward to getting the experience of teaching groups of people how to knit.  I suppose with my degree I already have experience teaching groups of people.  I kind of have to remind myself of that sometimes.

I'm hoping that this post makes sense to everyone reading it!  It's been a while and it seems like there's a lot to say, but I'm not sure how to say it all.  I will leave it at this for now, and start with the time traveling next post!
