Here's what I'm up to. I've been doing some spinning along with my Super-Secret Knitting.
First, some 100% merino in colors chosen by Holly (colors that don't show up well here). It's a royal blue, aqua blue, and a lime green. I think I will chain/Navajo ply it. Still thinking on it. Still spinning.
Next up is a silk/merino blend. It's beautiful, shiny, slippery and soft. We loves it, precious. I actually have plans for this yarn!
I'm planning on having my Super-Secret Knitting finished by the end of the month. That's the plan, anyway. I've got plans for our vacation in September. Plans involving piles of yarn, Elizabeth Zimmerman's books, and a tape measure! It sounds fantastic to me.
P.S. Help me come up with a new blog name! I was thinking of "Erin K Knits" but I'm not sure I like it. Seems a little...I don't know the word for it. Anyway, if you come up with something I like by the end of the month, I will knit you a little gift (of my choosing)! Any takers? Or should I use my idea?

I have been thinking about the new name and just keep coming back to Mandarin or something involving Anne, but she did mostly crochet so I'm not sure that would be right. Also, Mandarin would be for a combo blog and this isn't that. I'm really no help at all, am I?
No, you are a help! It's got me thinking of literary names/references I like. And I was just watching Anne last night! :)
Yeah, gotta save Mandarin for something else.
Oooh, how pretty. I love what you are...spinning? Is that the correct terminology? I am so lame that I don't actually know!
I keep thinking "The Knittlink" with two "t"'s or one. That name doesn't appear to be taken online yet, which gives you a certain authority. Or Erin K Knitling, like a pseudonym.
Those are my thoughts... whatcha think??
Ruralmama--Yep, spinning! You are *not* lame. All arts/crafts have their own language--you know how it is!
I really like your ideas a lot, especially the Knitling one. It sounds like some sort of little fairyland person. I have some ideas now I'm playing with, and I'll definitely let everyone know when they're fully formed. Thanks for the ideas!
I'm feeling special because I got to see you actually working with that lovely blues/green mix up there. It's gorgeous, really! I'm not sure about a name for the blog yet...but I'll get thinking. (Can you see the smoke coming from my ears all the way at your house?) ;)
I can see the smoke, and I can smell it too! I didn't know that was you, MamaTea, but I shoulda known. ;) I'm curious to see what you come up with.
Thanks for the nice words about the yarn. It actually got done last night, with the help of our awesome conversations! It's drying right now after a good bath. Might show up on the blog tomorrow!
