I've been sucked into the Phat Fiber world. What is it, you ask? A sampler box. Very limited amounts are put up for sale and are sold out in a second once a month. I got one this month. The theme was "Enchanted Forest" and really, how can you resist that? Or should I say, how can I resist that?
So, yes, I snagged one. A "mixed" box (meaning it had some yarn and some spinning fiber. You can also get a "stitches" one or a "fluff" one). And by Wednesday, my box of happiness came.
I opened it to find:
| The box, as I opened it...What's in that pouch?? |
| Ooooh! Stitch markers, a needle gauge, and business card coupons! |
| Closeup of stitch markers and needle gauge. |
| This is everything I got in the one little box! Do you SEE all the fibery wonderfulness? I even got two patterns! |
| Some of the yarn... |
| On the left is handspun art yarn from Germany! It's beautiful. The other yarn is hand-dyed sock yarn in a kit to make a little toadstool. |
| Handspun art yarn (in my hand) and a grey merino/silk blend yarn called "Gandalf's Beard". I was so excited to get that! |
| Check out this awesome sample. Sock yarn to knit up, and snips from the other yarns she dyes. I am especially in love with the thicker yarns and the sparkly one--called Arctic Hare. Love! |
I have
a problem photographed all the spinning fiber separately so that when I spin it up you can see a before and after picture.
Yes, indeed, I have fallen down the rabbit hole...
