Boy, was that lucky!

I'm in the throes of finishing up my Christmas presents.  Which explains the lack of blog posts here.  I have a ton of things going all at once, and I can't blog about any of them!  Well, most of them.  And the ones I can, I just haven't.  Sorry about that.

I promise that within the next couple of weeks I'll be posting more regularly.  I even have posts already written, ready to go once the gifts are given!  Maybe it should be dubbed "Secret Blogging" or something way cooler sounding that I can't come up with at the moment.

Anyway, the thing I was inspired to tell you about?  I should probably tell you about it.  Although by the time you read it, you're probably going to be wondering what the big deal is.  Unless you use yarn, a lot.  Then you'll probably understand.

I've been working on these gifts, and I actually underestimated the yarn amounts I needed for my last two projects.  The yarn had been ordered a couple of months ago from an online source.  Three balls of yarn were required--one in one color for a project, and two in two separate colors for another project.  Three balls of yarn, three different colors, ordered two months later.  I knew the dye lots weren't going to match, and I have been plotting in my head for a couple of weeks the ways to make the non-matching yarn "blend" into the projects.  Tonight I finally sat down with the new yarn, to put it with the projects.  Guess what?  Not one, not two, but all three balls of yarn matched the dyelot I was already using.

Now that's a Christmas miracle!
